Container Condition Categories
New (One-Trip) Containers
Used for a single cargo shipment
Minimal prior handling
May show minor scuffs from transport
Doors, floors, and structure are in near-new condition
Often selected for appearance-sensitive applications.
Used – Cargo Worthy (CW)
Structurally suitable for cargo transport
Wind and water tight at time of inspection
May show dents, surface rust, scratches, or repairs
Floors are functional with visible wear
Cargo Worthy status may require carrier approval for transport.
Used – Wind & Water Tight (WWT)
Structurally sound for storage use
Doors and seals prevent water intrusion under normal conditions
May show heavier cosmetic wear than Cargo Worthy units
Commonly used for dry storage applications.
Used – As-Is / Project Grade
May require repairs
May show significant cosmetic wear, corrosion, or prior modifications
Sold without transport certification
Typically used for projects, modifications, or industrial applications.
Structural Inspection
